god, its been a long time since i wrote that last entry, and ive progressed to book 4, but then had a looooong break, because i wanted to read something different.
I shall have to get back to the grind though soon!

Wizard and Glass going strong 17 months ago

I haven’t had the time to devote myself to this until christmas break. Now school’s started again, and I would have a dozen other things to do, but all I can do is read the book. And oh my god it’s good. I thought I could remember even a part of it, but it’s all new and exciting to me. I guess it’s because I’m understanding it so much deeper now.

    AAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! 22 months ago

I can’t believe I finished it!! I finished it last night at 8:30 or so!!

It was a long, hard road. Some parts were difficult to get through, but I fell in love with all of the ka-tete and don’t regret spending so much time on it at all! I really feel like I’ve accomplished something!

Now I don’t know what to do with myself! I think I want to go back and start all over again. . . just. . . not for a while ;)

I &heart; Roland, forever and ever!

    My story 22 months ago

I read the first four books when I was about 15, but forgot about them for years, because the other ones weren’t available in Finnish or even written in the first place. At that time I never actually believed King would ever finish them. I think it was about a year ago that I heard that the last one was published. I got excited and made this decision. This summer I started all over again. I want to read them all at once. I’m now reading The Drawing of the Three and although I’ve read the first books already years ago, I’m totally addicted.

    grrrr.... 1 year ago

this series is so frustrating. i want to hate it, but the pages keep turning. thousands of pages have gone by and little has happened. I recently read half of The Wolves of the Calla and put it down for awhile because I bought other exciting books. I will finish this eventually though.

Through Song of Susannah. . . It’s starting to get really weird now. . . and I’m loving every second of it.

Wizzard and Glass, Check 2 years ago

The first half was really slow, but the last half totally made up for it.

Which is funny- that’s pretty much how the fourth Harry Potter book went too. . .

Then the ending was just plain weird- but interesting-

Wolves of Calla here I come!

    serously epic.

FINISHED SONG OF SUSANNAH 2 years ago

The story is choppy throughout the series. It reads like a work that the author revisited from time to time over many years, which is essentially how it came to be. These discontinuities are distracting, but it’s still a remarkable work and well worth reading. I enjoy the parallels to the LOTR trilogy and the references to King’s other novels. As a memorable charater, Roland of Gilead is one of King’s true masterpieces.
