not sure how old I was (I was quite young), I had a family holiday in Switzerland once. One memory that sticks out – it was really foggy one morning, so we couldn’t see the alps, and dad said they’d disappeared or something. Was funny! Also I remember a family was staying next to our tent, and they spoke English, but were American, but because we were young me and my sister thought they were English because they spoke English, even though they had different accents! I don’t know how we didn’t know Americans spoke the same language!

I just started reading “Target Switzerland” by Stephen P. Halbrook, a book about the Swiss martial tradition and it’s ability to maintain armed neutrality throughout WWII while other countries capitulated to or were overrun by Nazi Germany. It definitely sounds like a fascinating culture and an interesting place to visit.
I’d love to go to Switzerland. I spent about an hour there as a child, passing through, but it’s top of my list to visit properly.

I’ll be there this winter between Christmas and New Year’s. I’ve always wanted to go there, but I’m not sure what to do there? Debating if I should spend the 4 days in Zurich or stay in Lucern… Can Lucern be a day trip?

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to go to Switzerland! I can’t exactly explain why, but there’s like this urge to visit. Maybe I lived there once, on a past life?
I want to go to the Alps very much. Also, I want to do snow boarding there. I’d like to visit Zurich and / or Bern. I can already speak German, but not very fluently, so I’ll be all right there. Although I lived in England for a few years, I’ve never seen proper fat snow before. The only snow I ever saw melted as soon as it hit the ground! It’ll be awesome to experience something new of nature.
We went to Switzerland this past summer. I loved spending time in the Alps. We went canyoning and white water rafting. The rafting was so incredibly cold but I think the most exciting thing I’ve ever done in my life. When can I go back???
