I went last September on the inside passage with Holland America and my god it was amazing! The towns are great (especially Ketchikan) and because it was mid September they had some great sales on stuff, and I got to see the salmon run as well! I got the best pictures of them jumping. I went Zip-lining in Juneau. The only thing I didn’t get to do was see the whales. That’s one big reason I want to go back. The other would be to take more pictures! I got some amazing panoramas of the glaciers and I’d looooove more!
I just want to go and take a million more pictures! (Honestly, I probably could get a million!)

My dad booked the cruise, and we were able to get 4 tickets from Atlanta to Seattle using frequent flyer tickets. We’ll also have 3 days in Seattle, which we’ve been wanting to see. I’m in the process of getting the kids’ passports renewed, since the last one was only good for 5 years, and one of the ship’s stops is in Victoria, Canada. We are so psyched!

He didn’t even know this was in my top 35 things I wanted to do. We just have to pay for the airfare to Seattle, and we may be able to use our frequent flyer miles.

Yikes! Time to get the packing list reviewed and updated. Oh yes, much excitement here.

I’ve always wanted to go to Alaska.
I have been on two cruises, both to the Caribbean. I thought that was the only place one should go to when cruising. However, ever since my parent in laws went and I saw how great (and might I mention beautiful) a place it is I have been dying to go. Once I get a job I plan on having 20% of my paycheck deposited into an online savings account. I hope to save $5000 or so by sometime next year so I can go on an Alaskan cruise in 2009.
(Picture seen is the Norwegian Pearl, the cruise ship that I want to go on to Alaska)

Alaska seems like one of the few places that would actually be better seen by boat.

It’s already been booked by my husband’s family so we are going, barring any change of plans.
I want to plan some of the day trips. I hear that there are bicycle tours. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!
We’ve been talking about this and have decided that next year we will go. I picked up the forms to apply for a passport today from the post office. I was told we needed them, so better safe than sorry! Now to contact a travel agent and make arrangments.
