Had floor tickets! 2 months ago

I’ve never danced so hard in my life. The Killers rocked our socks. They got even better from their last concert I saw in January.

They interacted w/audience, and during “All these things I’ve done” they got us to sing their famous line “I got soul, but I’m not a soldier” before they played the big, screaming chorus. It was like a quiet crescendo of anxiety until the audience couldn’t take it anymore and the fun finally burst!

Brandon asked the audience if they had ever been in love, and reminded boyfriends in the audience that Canadian girls are great—especially when their hair grazes over their shoulders.

Ronnie, the drummer was going to freak out. We couldn’t really see Mark, Brandon kept going back and forth to both sides of the stage, and we had Dave on our side of the stage.

And their last show was also to support Day & Age but they managed to change up the song order and set, to make the show totally different.

They opened with “Human” and finished with “When You Were Young.”

Floor tickets were the best!!! It was a cold night but I ended up sweaty and gross but it was sooo worth it.

Favourite moment: Surprise cover of “Please don’t let me be misunderstood” by the Animals, along with Wolfmother, the opening act. Getting covered in confetti was fun too!

Setlist: all the goodies. I mean all of them, from Somebody Told Me, to Spaceman

At the end, Ronnie threw his drumstick right at me, and it was coming toward my head. As I reached up to grab it, I got knocked over by two huge dudes who ended up punching each other for it. I’m sure security broke it up as we ran away to avoid getting killed by their fighting.

i love them 2 months ago

i wish i could see them back then, before they got all famous. I wisshh i could see them open for tegan and sara. but thats not going to happen. so i hope i can see them in the present day!

What the concert was actually like 10 months ago

The stage was BEAUTIFUL, if you’ve seen the “Somebody told me” video with all those lights and stuff…that’s exactly what their concert was like. Flashy, colourful lightbulbs that shone all night long. They even had confetti, bubbles, a tigerprint curtain, palm trees and fireworks at the finale!

They played all my favourites, plus a whole lot of songs from their new CD, most of which I like. There wasn’t a whole lot of talking from the boys, just a lot of straight singing, with the lights turning on again at the end of each song. They opened with “Spaceman” and finished with the smash “When You Were Young.” Had all the good songs in between. There wasn’t a lot of talking on their part at all actually. The only comment they made (Brandon), after “Joyride” was that people say that song was a mistake, but he says he got it right. BTW, I think that song is great.

The ACC seats 35,000 but they had the mosh pit open and I’d say at least 1000 people were in there. Next time I’ll try to get tikets in there, but in Canada in winter, who wants to wear their jackets at a sweaty dance music concert where you’re jumping around?

It’s funny, Brandon even said that it’s cold outside…Tonight its -5C, he’ll freeze tomorrow when its -14C! BTW, he’s much more petite in person that I thought.

So after the last song and then wishing us all to drive home safely, the drummer Ronnie threw his sticks into the crowd and guitarist Dave threw his pick too. It would be amazing to catch those.

I was so impressed, I even fought leaving crowds to buy an overpriced souvenir (which I never do). I bought a tote bag w/ the Killers logo emblazed in pseudo flash. I figured that if Toronto is banning plastic bags anyway (effective June), that I might as well have a nice bag to use other than a crappy grocery store logo hideous thing.

That $15 for “dollar store” worthy merchandise better be worth it!

Killers!! 10 months ago

Jan 23!!!

I tried to see them when they came in November but the tickets sold out so fast because they went to a small concert hall. Now they’re playing the biggest stadium in Town…and we’re going, 17th row!!!
Eee!!
I still cant’ get “Read my mind” out of my head and my heart. I think I never will.

I saw them in January and they were absolutely frikkin amazing

Amazing! 2 years ago

They were so great – I think that they’re even better live than just listening to them on CD. All the guys are great but espeically Brandon who has such an amazing voice and is really charismatic. I would reccommend anyone to go and see them.

Very very good concert, could have done with more crowd banter but hey, Brandon’s a mysterious chap!
