I have a mock Preliminary exam in Chemistry on Monday—part of it is drawing the periodic table.
I’m memorizing elements and their symbols, atomic number, and oxidation states. :/ Ions (with chemical formulas and charges) are included as well.
I have the alkali metals, noble gases and the second period down pat, but that’s about it. :)

I would really like to memorise the table but dont know how

Ok, so my plan is gonna be to memorize one element every day or second day. The first few are gonna be super easy but after the first 20 it’s gonna be insane :(

learnt the first 40 at school and can still remember the first 20 including symbols

Plus I’d love to be able to whip out scientific knowledge tidbits on the fly. And since I’m going to try and learn the Ukulele as well I could sing songs and ditties about all of the elements and whatnot :D

since I’m a biochem major I thought I should really try to memorize the whole table.

I’ve memorised the stable isotopes (including extremely long lived one) of all the elements up to arsenic. It gets more complicated and harder to remember as they get heavier.

Got about the first 20 down so far, but only about 5 of their Atomic No.s ETC…Haven’t tried much TBH its mainly class work, but I want to just for the hell of it…All of it.

Nearly there

Memorized up to plutonium, I don’t see the point of memorizing the larger synthetic elements. But I still need to memorize the symbols for each element and the atomic mass. I also want to memorize the most common isotopes of each element.

I kinda just gave up after learning most of the synthetic metals. The capitals of the world were easier.
