"One word: Amazing."
How I did it: It's very simple, and at the same time very difficult.
I first had to teach myself five lessons. I dedicated a single day to each lesson. And this is important and also difficult because you can't let anything interfere.
Lesson 1: Desire
Why do I want this? What do I want to gain? What do I want to learn? All of these are just simple and basic questions that you should ask yourself. You need to be sure that you know all of your intentions and desires as to why you want to do this. Though this sounds simple it is actually very complicated and does in fact take a while. Your intentions and desires must be pure. And you must also be sure that your desires do not go against the laws of the universe. And you must ponder this over and over again.
Lesson 2: Fear
What am I afraid of? What might keep me from seperating my astral self from my physical self? Are there things that I must do before I can face the fear of seperation? Why? And how? Once I answered these questions, I did what I needed to do to make sure that I was prepared to stand the shock of leaving my own body. This is not easy, because we are in the physical realm and are not used to anything but such. Humans fear the unknown, and even more so, what they already know is coming. You must learn to let go of fear, and trust me, it is a scary experience at first but you get used to it. It's different for everyone and so I'm afraid I can't tell you EXACTLY what to do. I can only give helpful hints.
Lesson 3: Concentration
This was one of the most difficult steps for me. You have to be sure to COMPLETELY empty your thoughts and concentrate on ONE thing and one thing ONLY. A good place to start is your breathing. Or maybe that annoying high pitched tone in your head when it is quiet. It takes practice and I mean a lot of it. But patience it key.
Lesson 4: Relaxation
Sure. Relaxation. You get home, plop yourself on the couch, turn on a movie and eat some popcorn. Relaxation, right? WRONG. Relaxation is when you completel free yourself of any and all frustrations, anxieties, tensions, etc and simply be. Now, you're most likely wondering what I mean. I don't mean be yourself or be happy. I mean just be. Just lie down on your bed in a comfortable position and just be. Acknowledge your existence. And just...exist. It's a strange but peacful feeling. You get used to it and this is definitly a vital part of astral travel. You have to allow your body to sort of...sleep, but keep your mental self and concsiousness AWAKE.
Lesson 5: Seperation
You have to learn to seperate your concsiousness from your physical prison. It takes a long time. And a lot of effort. And you really have to use the last four lessons to do this. Just practice seperation...I'm not sure how to put that clearly.
On the sixth day is when I made my travel. It was really just a practice sort of travel. I walked around in my own room as my astral self, looked at my physical self. And explored the first level of the astral plane. I loved it. It was...amazing.
Lessons & tips: It's all about finding your own personal way of doing it. Patience is key. REMEMBER THAT NOTHING CAN HURT YOU ON THE ASTRAL PLANE, SO DON'T WORRY.
