learn to play 3rd movement of "moonlight sonata"

16 years old and have been playing piano for 9 years but have never approached a song as difficult as this but I am up for a change. I have written two masterpieces…. well I think so… And I look foreward to playing this song well..

i have no experience with the pioana!!! how do you guys learn it???

I’ve played inconsistently since I was 5 years old but the hardest song I tried before taking on this feat was the first movement. I’ve forgotten it over the years but I want to get it back soon. However, I’m more interested in the 3rd movement now, honestly. I’ve learned the first part of it and I’m not too frustrated except that I can’t read notes at all. Which SUCKS.

I can read music (albeit.. very slowly) I’ve memorized the begining but I can’t continue further until i’ve perfected the first piece. However, every single time I try, it will not come out perfect.. I will either miss a key, or I can’t make the transition fast enough to make the sound flow. My piano has very hard keys (more so than some more expensive pianos I’ve used) could this be the culprit?

Let me be completely honest: I learned how to play this piece when I was 12 and performed it at 13. It took me a whole year to “perfectly” learn the 2nd and 3rd movements. When I first started learning to play this song, I had had already about 8-9 years of piano experience. I’m not saying it’s impossible… I’m just saying it’s extremely hard to accomplish, but, I praise you for your efforts and it’s definitely worth it!
