    DAY 2 9 months ago

    FEBRUARY 2ND 2009

today, gaze at everyone wondering whether they might be the one true love of your life, the one destined for you and you alone, and whether you might be passing them by forever… act in consequence

i gazed and gazed while i was at work.

    old grandma w/ glittery jacket:
maybe in a different lifetime ha ha

    young guy with facial hair:
perhaps- until that one berry tart you ended up buying after standing there for five minutes turned into, “maybe i should get another one for my girlfriend, too.” boooooooooooo.

    middle-aged man with baby stroller:
    enough said.

i gazed and didn’t think much after that. dreamguy, where are you?!
work is the worst place to find your lover….. seriously.

    DAY 1 9 months ago

    FEBRUARY 1ST 2009

as this is your first day, you should warm up with an easy task that will only change your life a little bit.

there was a list below that i got to choose my task from. they were all fairly simple as this is the first day of the book. nothing too crazy. there were a few ones i was trying to decide between doing like

whisper a white lie when no one’s listening / leave work five minutes early

but i forgot to whisper the lie while i was at work and i didn’t leave early because there was a huge order of croissants and danishes to do half-way into my shift.

well, when i got home from work i decided to

    insult an insect

you would think that finding a bug around your place is easy. it’s not. you always see them when you don’t want to, but when you need to (like this little life changing occasion!) they’re nowhere to be found! i even went outside, but couldn’t even find an ant. i came inside and finally remembered that i put down this sticky mat behind my television a few months ago in hopes of catching a mouse. i know, what a horrible way to catch them, but my father suggested it :(

anyway, animal / pet / rodent lovers rejoice- i didn’t catch the mouse, but i did catch a lot of house centipedes! so although they weren’t alive anymore they are still insects. this is me insulting dead insects:

hmph, this book has been sitting in my closet for well over a year. i just found it now tucked behind old clothes and other books. after flipping through it i have decided to take on the task of fully completing it this year and into 2010. i am sure i won’t be doing this daily like you’re supposed to, but i can try to at least do it every few days. perhaps it will change my life. perhaps it won’t.

oh, and i’m going to start on february 1st.

I gave up last year, too. I need a new copy, since I feel that last year’s copy is ‘tainted.’ Where are they usually sold?

It turned out to be too much for me to keep up with, since it’s something every single day. And once I missed a day, I just kept getting behind.
But I do regularly mark the mood chart in the beginning of the book, and I do use the ideas.
