Cal is looking forward with joy and apprehension.

We moved to Little Rock one year ago. 5 months ago

We kept our house in northern Arkansas, and most of my “stuff” is still there. It is surprising to say that I do not miss the vast majority of those things. “If you have not used it in a year, get ride of it,” should be my new motto:-)

I begining to think that there is no end to 2 years ago

the “junk.” Why am I such a saver? I never went through the depression, and have always had everything I need, but none the less I am a saver.

Spring Cleaning day at the dump 2 years ago

or as they say here, the “Recycling Center, and Solid Waste Disposal Area.” Anyway we were allowed to take one pickup truck of “junk” a day to the dump free. My wife and I took a total of five loads. My shop may well become a “shop” again and not a storage area for things that I may use someday:-)

This seems to be getting "hairy." 3 years ago

After all this is My Stuff. I keep saying I don’t need this, but I may need it later. Or, it may be worth something some day. I can see I am going to have trouble with this one.

    Making progress 3 years ago

We decided to clean/ remodel the house one room at a time. I am about to get started on the “computer room,” I have taken five large boxes out. After I get it all out, I plan to “gut” the room and redo the walls and floor. Then only return what I really need and get rid of the rest. As you can see five boxes only made a dent in the junk.

I am not sure where I learned it 3 years ago

but I always felt that I had better keep “it” because I may someday need “it.” Therefor, I have a lot of “its” all over the place. That is a fairly good defination of hording

Feels good :) 3 years ago

Got rid of some via boot sale and the rest have been picked up by charities.

Uber pleased as I haven’t just dumped them in the tip, they might actually be of use to someone else and better still I now have more space and less clutter.
