Here in Thailand, there is an ancient art called Sak Yant. You can get special tattoos designed to confer spiritual gifts and protection.

I was lucky enough to meet a master here would performed the ceremony for me and gave me a wonderful experience. My tattoo was inked with sesame oil so there is a small welt where the oil pierced the skin but after it heals, it remains invisible, but the protection remains.

Nifty ritual and very unique. Would recommend for anyone interested in tattooing or folks traveling through SE Asia.

I want to get a tattoo that is meaningful and looks good. I just need to think of the perfect idea and find a good artist to do it. I also can’t put it anywhere that would show in business attire or a dress.

I went into a tattoo shop today to get a piercing. While I was waiting for the piercer to set up, I paged through the flashes. I didn’t find anything I wanted on the flash cards, but I was told that I could get something designed specifically for me. I’m not good at drawing, but I think that a custom-designed tattoo would be the way to go…

When I was in deep, I was having hallucinations of moths. They would be everywhere. On my window screen, on my fingers, face, the mirror, wall.
One got stuck in a coke can, and I heard it’s fluttering for a while. But I didn’t save it. When I poured out the coke in the sink, there was no moth.

This was during the time where I tried ODing for the third time. Obviously, I didn’t die. I didn’t tell anyone of it, since I had gotten hospitalization another incident a week before. I did however stop moping around and fought my way through issues by actually TRYING in therapy. I’ve had a couple incidents afterward, but I think the Moths have helped me in a way.

They’ve gotten me through all this. I want it on my neck so I won’t forget what I went through, and so I never go back again.

I just really need to decide what I want. This has been such a year of so many unexpected changes and I feel like I’m a better, stronger, happier person because of it. I already have 3 tattoos, but I want one to symbolize this year of changes. I just need to think about what I want.

i’ve wanted a tattoo since i was like 16 but am just not deciding on what to get, 3 years later…i don’t want anything huge or colorful. i like simple but unique designs. i am going to school to be a teacher, so i need something that can be hidden. i am thinking about getting ‘live life’ and ‘with no regrets’ on the inside of my feet along the bottom below my anklebones…but i’m so picky about things that it could change..i want the font and size to be perfect. my other idea was just to get ‘simply breathe’ on the inside of just one foot or maybe on word on each foot. see, i can’t decide. i want it to mean something to me and i don’t think i’m putting too much or to little thought into it. so tomorrow i might be going to rochester to see a place and see what they can do….but i also have a cousin that i can talk to about it who does great work in franklinville. i think it’s time for this, definitely.

I want to get a tattoo of Catullus 85 in the original latin. The poem is very meaningful to me as I believe it relates to the essence of human nature. (the odi et amo part relates to my bipolar disorder, as well).

I already have one tattoo, but it’s of a butterfly and I picked it because it was pretty & when I was a kid I loved them and I still do but, I want a tattoo that has a lot more meaning than that.
