If you enter everything correctly the first time the program is run, you’re good to go forever. Your days of manually computing payroll taxes are at an end! Inventory tracking, reports by customer and category, deposit reminders: priceless! But…make a mistake (such as with employee entry) and you’re in for a big surprise come tax time. Get the guide to QuickBooks and keep it around to reference when you have a question instead of guessing what to click. Whatever you do, use the program as intended. It will make your life much easier than doing it your half-assed, cut-and-paste way (I say that with much love, as I am guilty of doing the same thing). Seems obvious, I know, but when you’re in a hurry to get out of the office on Friday (hurray Friday!) you want to make sure it’s done right.
