How I did it: There are definite ups and downs to doing this. I rated it as worth it, but it's somewhere in limbo on that count.

It's hard to be nice to everyone. Some people are just annoying. Some people just do things that are senseless and make you upset. And in the real world, smiling at someone often doesn't mean they're going to smile back.

I'm not sure whether it's a virtuous thing or not. However, I do it. I do it because arguing is stupid. I do it because getting in fights over stupid things is also stupid. I do it because there are more important things to do than make a big deal of little things.

Lessons & tips: Focus on yourself. You have things to improve, you have goals to achieve. Don't waste your time on negativity.

    It’s overrated.
    You do it and forget about your own happiness…. and once you get into the habit, it’s hard to break. It sounds like a good thing to do, but it sucks.
    Just be kind as much as possible, but understand that sometimes you have to be unkind in order to protect your own happiness and sanity.
