feed the birds in my garden

It’s a young bird, and it’s proving quite a character. It’s wing is broken and would not likely be able to fly again – so the galah may just be a long term house pet. It’s nickname is Mischief. 2 years ago

And since they’ve grown in the tree lots, and are reaching a good height, there have been more small birds flying about near the house. It’s lovely to go out and hear one particular bird (I don’t know what it is) whistling about with such a pretty voice. 2 years ago

I have plans – when the kids have moved out they can take the dogs and cats – then I can happily feed the local birds. I don’t however wish to encourage the sparrows – they are breeding like mad up in our eves. I’d rather encourage the Australian native birds from the reserve. The crows are quite happy sharing what we put out for the chooks. 5 years ago
