About 5 months ago, I received a parcel in the post.
Being delirious from the fact the postal worker had awakened me at the ungodly hour of 1:30pm, I stumbled down the stairs and haphazardly signed for the beige packet.
Upon going back to my room, I ripped it open and took out a bubble wrapped antique clipbox. Opening the box, I found inside 6 silver forks. I checked the shredded packet, it wasn’t for me.
1 month later, I received a letter, which, I admit, I opened maliciously. Tired of receiving mail for different addresses, I just said to myself, ‘Screw it’ and opened it. Inside were 10 postcards of a ship. They were photographed by the person the letter was addressed to.
Both items were thrown in a corner and forgotten about.
Today, I repackaged the items, and took them to the post office, sent them away with recorded delivery, costing £2.88 in all.
On the back, the return to sender address read:
“My Sincerest Apologies.”
