Post more offers on freecycle

Someone picked up stuff I offered today, and I have people picking more stuff up tomorrow and Friday! :)

I’ve got another batch of stuff to get rid of soon enough. Then it’ll be time to go through the boxes in the basement to clean stuff up.

We have given away a lot of stuff on our local Freecycle. Sure, we could have sold a lot of it (like the old Nintendo system, or the motorcycle helmets) but, frankly, posting stuff on eBay is a pain in the tush and it takes more energy to keep track of what you’re selling and to deal with the packing and mailing of the item too.

We’ve had the chance to make a LOT of families very happy by giving them things they otherwise couldn’t afford. Some people are thrilled to get your hand-me-downs becuase, no matter how ratty they are to you, they are infinitely better than nothing at all.

After a while, though, all those emails do get annoying.
