Become an astronaut

im 14 years old and i love school. i love to learn i love getting a’s and i love helping others. in 8th grade, we did a short astrnomy unit and watched apollo 13. just seeing the astrnauts floating around on the spaceship inspired me. you spend your entire life being held down, literally, by gravity. in space, you can, in a sense, fly. only a handful of people in the world get to experience it and i want to be one of those people.

last summer I interned at NASA.. it was so amazing…it assured me of my dream..
It’s my dream one day to be among one of the astronauts who take the first steps on the red planet, Mars.
One day maybe we can even expand to the asteroid belt, to one of Jupiter’s moons Europa, and then on to other solar systems such as Alpha Centauri. I’ m dreaming of a galaxy teeming with human civilization, hopefully in harmony with other beings we are bound to meet. Yes, it may seem like a star wars fantasy to some people… but I believe it.

i went to a space camp academy thing in huntsville alabama. we ran simulation missions, learned about space, the technology, and its history, watched imax movies and just so many things.
i want to go to space. i want to experience the most amazing experience a human can have. this is my dream.

this has been my dream sicne I was little (i guess not too long ago)...the only thing in the way is a 3-year long ankle injury…i’d hate for this to get in the way of my dream…

All those years of watching the Next Generation sure took its toll..
I was so disappointed when I learned we hadn’t even landed on Mars yet. :S

Training is required all around. I am keeping physically fit and will start swimming more often. Also working towards my doctorate. It’s a difficult goal but it is my dream since I was little. One day I will fly high above the planet and see it’s beauty like the rest of the universe does. I will apply to programs in a few years.

I am serious about this one, ain’t no joke. You know something? Every space mission is fueld by more than just rocket fuels, they are fueld by the dreams of the astraunauts since young and their determination. Have a friend to support your goal, because all these will give you a boost. If I can’t get it, I will be a rocket techinician, mission control, or something else.
