I want to sing karaoke with my friends and not care on how I sound. It’s fun singing to tunes and expressing yourself at the same time.

How to sing karaoke

 "Karaoke has become a favorite activity to relax, regroup and just feel better about myself... plus its something I can do with my entire family."
How I did it: The first time I sang karaoke was when my friend Carol and I wandered into a bar in Anaheim called the Manila Peninsula. We were at a Christian Women's event of some sort and wanted to drink a beer... and this place was next to our hotel. We were enjoying ourselves thoroughly (as Carol and I always do). I wanted to sing because I love to sing but was doing the usual self talk "I am not good enough, I can't sing, who am I kidding?" thing.
Lessons & tips: Bring friends with you or make friends with the people around you. It helps having people cheer.

This would be…my Everest. Making a fool of myself and having fun, not caring at all what anyone else watching is thinking. And hell, I sing along to music when I’m alone all the time. Badly. Why can’t I do it in public?

This summer I will have many opportunities to check this one off my list. Gabie will be spending time here and there with my family in Chicago while I stay home and take a class over the summer. One of those nights, I am going to get out there and sing my tipsy heart out!

I have pretty terrible stage fright and a moderately-decent singing voice. I love the idea of getting up on stage and belting out a song, but, I always chicken out. This is one fear I want to conquer.

Okay, I can call this one DONE!
A friend drove me out to a fun local bar, and I sang “Love Potion Number Nine”. I was the first singer of the evening. I don’t think I was that bad, though I know some other singers were better.
I was weirded out by how my voice sounded on the speakers pointed at me. It didn’t sound like my own voice, to me. It sounded a lot higher and thinner than how my voice sounds in my own head. That was disappointing. Bye-bye “American Idol” dreams! LOL
At least I knew the song well, and was able to hit all the notes.
I hope I can do this again someday. :)

I can’t sing! I’d love to be brave enough to try it just once. I have fun watching people doing it and it looks like fun. I sing all the time in the car when a song comes on that I like.

I love singing… I don’t really know if I’m bad or not… but I’ve done karaoke once when I was in 8th grade like 8 years ago… It was fun… I want to go again…

i wanted to for a long time, but was always too nervous. then i found alanis morisette, you oughtta know, at a karaoke contest on accident and from there on out i couldnt get enough.

Well, it’s Friday! I certainly didn’t do everything on my list, but looking back I did make progress on a lot of them.
I found a local bar that does karaoke. I even know what bus to catch to go. The problem is that busses stop running at 10pm, and karaoke doesn’t even start until 9pm. So if I want to do this I need to have a friend drive me, or I need to have cab fare.
I have no idea how much a cab costs. I’ve never been in a cab before.
I’m gonna look into this a little bit more. Maybe a friend will go with me next week. Maybe I can make myself go alone and do the cab thing … but it would be scary if I did.
