How I did it: From 2006 through early 2009 I experienced fluctuating levels of poverty, initially so severe I lost 20 pounds eating a pack of ramen a day. Buying meat was never an option, except fast food dollar menu "meat." I sometimes depended on gifts and deliveries from the local food pantry, which often included meat, and although I was learning more and more reasons to abstain from meat, it was either eat or go hungry. Now that my situ… Read how I did it…
How I did it: After i worked in a ribs and steak restaurant that I ate free high quality beef for a year I was turned off, by all senses, of any red meats. I have always been very akin to the flavors and behaviors of fish. At first I mentally justified to myself that I will go fishing and Prepare a fillet to be cooked, but I would not be willing to kill a red meat animal or poultry myself. So by that justification I do not deserve to eat what I am not … Read how I did it…
How I did it: My mom said she was going to. She tried it for 1 day and hated it. I tried it and was fine. I decided not to eat any more meat. The one thing I still wanted to eat was seafood because I love sushi. No one thought I could do it because that morning I had a hunk of beef. But I would probably throw up if I ate that now. My friends are really amazed that I did it. The hardest thing is telling people why you decided to become a pescatarian. Yo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: When I was in the hospital, I was given pounds and pounds of red meat. I think that's what initially forced me to stop eating all of it. Think 10 days of being in the hospital, three meals a day, three meals of meat, meat, meat. Because I still have such a huge affinity for sushi, I can't cut it out of my system just yet. It's been four months since I've stopped eating red and white meat, but it's been the best four months of my life yet … Read how I did it…

i am a oescatarian for a year now i am only 11 but i cant even imagine eating meat ever again! in my whole life i would have saved at least 100 animals!!!!:)
I want to modify my diet to reduce disease risk. I have been a devoted carnivore my whole life. I have always been a great cook (the one thing I’m comfortable boasting about) but am needing to completely re-tool my repertoire. Send tempeh recipes my way, I’m starting to like the stuff but need to learn more ways to use it.
I started to gain weight since last 4 months.Well, after saw such a dramatic changed to my body,i determine to reduce weight and decided to become a pescatarian.
I want to eat :
- less meat,rice,dairy ,oily,spicy food(maybe once a week).
- stop eating chicken as I am allergic as my easily gets itchy everytime i eat it.
-more fruit,veggie.
I have a friend who is a vegan and she’s talked a lot about her reasons. They kind of made me want to cut out meat from my diet, but the big push came I guess was when I started reading about meat on my own.
Really, the main thing I needed was to see the phrase “higher risk of cancer”.
My father died of cancer in the past year.
The reason I’m keeping fish in my diet is because I’ve heard that it’s one of the best things for you.
But my vegan friend also says that the oceans are over-fished so I’m kind of iffy about it, but I do love fish.
I’ve been trying to stay away from red meat in the past few weeks. The hardest thing for me is the fact that I can’t really help if my family eats meat every night.
I cut meat out of my diet in November after reading Skinny Bitch. I was so clueless about how animals were treated and never gave much thought to how that food arrived on my plate.
I am still eating fish and shellfish. But I feel so much better since cutting the meat out and drinking only organic milk. My digestive system is happy too! :) Try it…and read Skinny Bitch to motaviate yourself!
i am going to do this with my best friend for two reasons, i want to lose weight and i need to stop eating so much meat
I gave up all meat except fish 2 years ago, and have not looked back once. I don’t crave beef, pork, or chicken, in fact, the smell (and sometimes just the thought) of these is repulsive to me. I kept fish and shellfish in my diet to be sure I was getting the protein and omega oils I need, and also because they are not hard for me to digest, as meat is. I have as much or more energy than I ever did (have run 2 1/2 marathons since), experience fewer PMS symptoms, and have experienced increased mental clarity, possibly due to the absence of hormones and chemicals frome the meat. I try to buy only wild caught, both for ethical reasons and to reduce the chance of harmful substances such as mercury. I always find plenty to eat, whether shopping at the grocery store or eating out. My family is all-omnivore, so I often cook an alternate dish to what they are eating, but it’s worth it.
I used to eat all meat, then I stopped eating red meat, then went vegetarian, then went vegan, then went vegetarian, and now I’m pescatarian and very happy with this balance. It’s still tricky though, because I do have several ethical qualms with the way the fishing industry works so I try to watch which kinds of fish I eat.

Well, I’m very new ti this new way of eating and I am sure that I can stick with it. I am swearing off of beef for good. I can’t take the beef in my life anymore.I can live with out chicken as long as I can have my lemon pepper talapia and steamed garlic califlower. I have been on the Master Cleanse for almost 9 days and I can’t wait till it is over. I feel and look absolulty amazing and I plan on maintaning a healthy lifestyle for as long as I live. Of course I am aware of the few bumps that I may encounter. But I am strong and I can do this. My body deserves it.I deserve it.
