remember people's names

I think I’m going to start saying people’s names when I talk to them… like “Hi Erica” instead of just “hi”. That sort of thing.

I talk to a lot of people on the phone on a daily basis, I also meet a lot of people doing comedy and whatnot.

I find as I get older, I have to make a conscious effort to remember people’s names.

We’ll see if it works, or if I just don’t care what people’s names are.

It’s rather strange. I have the hardest time remembering people’s names, but I can remember their faces (most of the time)even if I see them just once, and even their mannerisms (sometimes). So why is it that I can’t remember names?

... pretty hard and the more names I have to remember the easier it becomes. I have saved names of the whole community where I live in and it has been interesting.

... and I don’t like that. One should be able to remember each single name of each single person that one meets but in my case, I forget it 5 minutes after. I’ll keep it in mind and I’ll work to fix it.

because I’m much better about it than I was! I now ALWAYS remember a name as long as I’m paying attention in the first place.

If you know someone’s name but there are a couple of people and you’re not sure which is which, say hi to one of them by name and he/she will look over at you and you’ll know who it is.

In fact, once you learn people’s names whenever you see them in the hall say hi to them using their name. “Hi Nymphadora” and then you remember her name next time you see her.

I don’t actually know anyone named Nymphadora.

In fact, Nymphadora probably wasn’t the best name to choose randomly from thin air because Nymphadora Tonks in Harry Potter always looks different. I tend to recognize people by their hair first then by their faces.

I have been working on it.I feel bad when I have to keep asking them their name again when I see them again.
So I have been trying to think of a clue when I see them.
Example:Sandy—I think of sand
Mike—-think of hiking
Sue——think of sewing
It sounds stupid but it works.I when I see them
I try to remember a clue.

Brian (he also works on my level – fan of Souths)
Sharmany (she is always first in the gym before me, short, turns on the fans)
