I’ll still wear make up when I go out, but I want to stop wearing make up just because I am leaving the house eg going to buy groceries, going to friends house, going to uni, going for lunch with a friend. Wearing make up day in and day out, I’m used to looking a certain way and then when I’m not wearing makeup I feel ugly and exposed.
I want to feel comfortable with the face and body that I’ve got!

I decided about a week or two ago that I would stop wearing make up. This was really hard at first, because the reason I had been wearing so much recently was from an out of the blue crazy acne breakout! It was really bad. The make up only made it worse though, so I decided to quit it cold turkey for good.
Plus, my boyfriend always thinks I look better without it (and definitely protests when I wear it! “aw, cmon don’t put that goop on your face! you’re beautiful!”)
I’m really happy with myself for sticking to this goal. I hope to never wear make up again (at least foundation/concealer.) I think that creating art with your face is amazing, and I want to explore using natural plant dyes and inks for eyeliners and little cheek designs when I’m feeling adventurous. Aside from that, it’s no more make up for good!!
AND, my skin looks so much better! I highly recommend this goal to anyone who uses makeup to hide their “flaws.” we are all beautiful, let’s stop trying to look like airbrushed perfect faces and look like the beautiful human beings that we are.

So I stopped wearing foundation and concealer a week ago, now it’s only a moisturizing sunscreen, and a little bit of mascara…it’s a pretty good improvement over the mask I’ve been wearing

I always think that make up costs so much money and it hurts your skin.. So I stop wearing this some years ago and its all good. :)

as much as make-up is pushed on girls now-a days, its really not worth it. honestly, i stopped wearing it because it took too much time to take on and take off. I didnt feel better about myself for always wearing it, but i felt so much cleaner and prettier once i stopped.
even if you take off make up, it still will stay on your face for 3-4 days. thats disgusting.

Well—I stopped wearing makeup, and it has improved my self confidence so much! I think I look all the better for it too. I never wore heavy-duty makeup, but I had the dreadful habit of wearing foundation and concealer, because I was ashamed of my freckles and splotches.
Now, I’m makeup-free and proud. I think it takes a strong girl to quit it, but you know what… guys like it better.
And more importantly, I like it better.
