How to hug a redwood
It made me
WOW! awe inspiring

How I did it: I booked a flight to California (San Jose) and then took a ride down to Big Basin State Park (not far) within which resides the tallest tree in the history of the universe. If you get a chance...and it's a bit further off, mind you...but you must go to Sequoia National Park...these trees are even bigger - in total mass, that is...not quite as tall but quite possibly even more amazing.
Lessons & tips: stray from the beaten path for just a few minutes...it's worth it...
Lay on your back in the middle of a grove of redwoods...you're in heaven.

I’ve sat beside the ocean and under a big sky full of stars… hugging a giant tree older than I could ever understand would only add to the grandeur of my tiny little life…

I’m going to Northern Cali soon to visit my grandmother who…lives only 10 minutes away from a whole forest of redwoods for me to hug!
