sell my artwork

I sold something through etsy, but it was a vintage stamp holder I snagged when they did some cleaning up around work about a year ago, and which I realized I have no functional use for. I really need to add more things to the site.

This is my latest watercolor painting. I completed it on 28 February 2009. It is the fourth painting that I have done this year in keeping up with my goal to finish at least 24 paintings by year’s end.

i recently discovered that some of my best peices were stolen… so selling them is a bit impossible, but hopefully I can find an art gallery or someplace that is a good place to sell my work

I went ahead and set up a shop on etsy. It’s very basic, and I have only added a single item at this point. I need to add at least 4 more, and determine what store policies will be. After that, I would plan to add 1 item per week, which, at only .20 per post, would, worst case scenario, make this a cheap hobby.

Alright, talked to the owner of the shop. She’s interested in seeing more of my work. Looks promising. We’ll see what happens.

I have to talk to the manager of that specialty goods store to begin selling my art. She wants to see more of my artwork, and that’s good, at least it will bring in even a little more money. Every little bit to get myself and my son ahead and off the system.

First, I would have to be able to part with my original works, and secondly, I would have to have such extraordinary work and in such masses that I could supersede the plethora of other artists with whom I would be competing. If I could make money purely from my artwork, I would be ever so fulfilled, because of how immensely I enjoy creating it.

What on earth would I sell though? I like keeping my paintings near me, and I avoid painting…
I like making things for individuals as gifts. I guess I’m not really into selling my art… but then again I want to!

I will break this goal down into smaller goals. I am the Marketing Director for this website. I will work on Search Engine Optimization. As well as Networking.

I’ve been set up with Fine Art America since February, but no bites yet.
