In retrospect it didn’t really make things any better. Would have been much better off to just walk away and not look back.

Its no biggie, especially when its not your door, and you don’t have to worry about paying to fix it.
I suggest wearing some kind of boot, or a sturdy shoe with a good solid sole. You need to be able to kick high enough to hit right beside the knob.
The only thing really interesting about the last time I did this, is that the reason the door was locked to begin with(this was the door to the room that held all the party go’ers coats) is that some dude had hooked up with some girl, and was moments away from getting some.
I think he thought I was her boyfriend or large, jealous Ex, or something, because he about crapped himself when I came in, but then looked very confused when I just grabbed my girlfriends coat off the table, and walked out.
