I just emailed a French guy off a pen pal website, so hopefully will start a correspondence with him which will definitely improve my French.

My boyfriend and I went through an old textbook testing each other. It was cool to speak it again =]
Well this year in my frist year of grade 9 i learned some more french, and i really liked it and did good as long as i paid attention. So since i failed grade 9 this year, gonna try to get a awesome mark this year and continue to take french in grade 10.
I kept lapsing into French at work today. Like, suddenly, I’d need to get by someone and I’d say, “Excusez-moi!” or instead of “Thank you”, I would chipperly say, “Merci beaucoup! Bonsoir!” to some random customer.
And of course, when I hurt myself (which I do a lot at work), I would yell, “Bon sang!” which is the equivalent of “Bloody hell!”
I’ve been reading Baudelaire poems and Guy de Maupassant short stories, but I still keep on looking up words and I can’t write for beans. My vocab and tenses suck. I know I should just study La Bescherelle more carefully, but it’s so tedious. Perhaps I should try to find a way to live in Lyon at a homestay for a year or so…
But it is hard to do when time is so awfully limited.
I talk to French people everyday online, and they say I do real good, but my speaking needs work. I can totally pull off a good accent, but when I speak it in front of others I get nervous and my French isn’t too great.
Also, I barely get a chance to speak any outloud, because no one I know speaks it fluently, so I can’t have any conversations outloud. =[
