Lemonade! 4 months ago

You don’t see these around as often as you used to, but I can never resist the lure of a kid’s lemonade stand. Today we’d been walking in the hot sun when we came across this little entrepreneur (raising money for summer camp) and gave him a shiny loonie for two cups of his finest – which were very refreshing.

lemonade today! 8 months ago

I saw the stand being set up as I drove to the laundromat.

And then on the way back, I remembered to stop and buy lemonade and a brownie.

Lemonade = .25
Brownie = .25

Kind of a deal. (Except I threw out the brownie, on account of being gluten-free.)

What a great goal. 16 months ago

Guess I have to start carrying change on my runs and walks!

Always. 16 months ago

Doesn’t everybody? Buying lemonade from little kids just seems like a tradition.

I used to own this old ginormous land-yacht Mercury Grand Marquis. It was all dolled up with skulls in the rear window and Halloween clings all over. Back in the day, I probably didn’t look like much of a saint, either.

The faces those little kids made when I got out of that thing and bought a fifty cent cup of lemonade, paid with a buck and told them to keep the change was always pretty cute. Some of them probably thought I was gonna beat them up or something.

That hillbilly pickup I drive now doesn’t seem to have the same affect.

I used to have the coolest lemonade stand when I was a kid. How can you just drive by and not stop?

My husband and I always do this 2 years ago

It has been a tradition since we were dating.

I can't help myself 2 years ago

I always stop.

When I was little, my siblings and I made paper snowflakes and sold them for 25 cents. and people actually bought them! I remember feeling like such an adult selling the paper snowflakes and lemonade. I would gladly make another kid feel the same way I did.

I do! 2 years ago

There are these kids that have a lemonade by my house and they sell it ALL the time – I’ve always bought atleast two cups from them. I don’t know, it just makes me feel like I’m doing something good. =]

But I’ve noticed that not many kids are selling lemonade from stands these days. That’s depressing.
