"Damn rewarding ^-^ "
How I did it: Listen to me when I say that if you're patient, you will be rewarded. Honestly. I've never been happier with my body.
Choose an activity. I favour swimming and walking, because walking is free and swimming is fun, and you can easily do both with a friend.
I'd do my best to walk somewhere everyday, but there are some days where you have no opportunities to exercise/*really* don't feel like it, etc., etc.
*Don't* let this discourage you. You don't have to exercise every day. It helps, but don't feel like you're going to put on weight/never lose weight just because you didn't go for a walk today. =]
Cut back. Honestly, cut back. I would do things like switch to Coke Zero instead of regular Coke, use less butter on bread when making a sandwich (in fact, I don't even use butter anymore, I use salad cream^^).
Just do things like that, if you eat a burger or something, cut a small portion off and throw it away, or if it's a cheeseburger, nix the cheese =p.
My point being that I lost like 20lbs at least just by cutting back and getting some exercise, and it's relatively easy. You have to be patient, yes, but you don't have to cut out your favourite foods, just try to eat things in moderation and eat a little less =]. I used meal replacement milkshakes sometimes, too, but although I do think they help, they worry me somewhat, because the sugar amount in them is pretty high.
And just remember: You can do it. It's possible.
I remember that I bought a pair of jeans that I didn't try on, got them home, they didn't fit, so they gathered dust in the wardrobefor months. Now? They're way too big ^-^. There's nothing like that satisfaction and I wish you all the luck in the world in reaching your goal weight, too!
Lessons & tips: Moderation and control. Hammer those words into your brain.
Try not to weigh yourself, or you get obsessive over it. Weigh yourself about once a month, and that's only if you really, really want to :p.
