Segsy has a cold and is not happy. =(

We took my son 1 year ago

to see the Long Island Ducks on Friday. I have been there before but this was his forst time. He loved playing with the seats in our empty row and watching the mascot Quackerjack. No interest in the game itself.

Went to see the Sea Dogs! 2 years ago

While they lost, it was a lot of fun. Very different from seeing a major league game, and very family friendly. I had a good time.

But then again I’m not much one for watching sports, I prefer to play =)

A cheap way for tons of fun... 2 years ago

Akron Aeros at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio! Cheap tickets, close seats and tons of fun!

    ...again, temporarily... 2 years ago

more summer waiting… I love making room tho!

Summer nights at the stadium 3 years ago

We always attend a few Richmond Braves game each year. When I was home on leave, the team’s PR director left me some tickets at will call. Some friends came with us or met us there, and we enjoyed catching up at the game during a pleasant summer evening.
Minor league sports are a much better bang for your buck than the big leagues, IMHO.

    Highly recommended!! 3 years ago

You can sit closer to the field, everythings cheaper, the players aren’t over-paid spoiled prima-donnas, and they actually play very good baseball.

Columbus Clippers ring your bell! 3 years ago

I grew up on baseball… mostly the Cincinnati Reds, but when we couldn’t get to Cincy, we’d go to Clipper’s games. It’s a fond childhood memory, even though they’re in the evil Yankee farm system. ;)

    Springfield Cardinals 3 years ago

(Texas League). New stadium, new team. They’ve replaced the now defunct Ozark Mountain Ducks (Texas-Louisiana League).

Kinda funny, since we’re in Missouri…

We’ll see how long this one lasts. I’m still miffed about the whole Ducks thing, having been a loyal fan.

    Pawsox 3 years ago

We’re big red Sox fans here (could ya guess?) and we’re fortunate to live only about half an hour from Pawtucket where the Pawtucket Red Sox ‘Pawsox’ (Boston’s farm team) play. We go see them at least a couple times a year. It’s always a lot of fun – we sit on the lawn with the kids and other families – a great time!!

Good luck with this goal :-)
