figure out how to be one of the clean/tidy people

Any time I tell myself I’m not in the mood – I make a point of imagining how gross everything will become because I will never be in the mood and my dirt tolerance is considerably lower than it aught to be if I’m going to enjoy a contented existence for the next 40 or 50 or 60 years.

This is my most challengingest goal ever!!!!!!!! I think I need to think about why I feel such a reluctance to engage in the cleaning of my stuff. Who am I kidding – I know why. Fine, so I’ll just focus on altering those little non-cleaning thoughts.

It matches my sparkly top floor!

I’ve been so busy, I haven’t had time lately to update this little goal of mine. So here’s the update:
upstairs = sparkly
basement = tidy (but because of ongoing reno, not sparkly, so this is okay)
main floor = my downfall at the moment.

Overall, I think this is successful so far, but still in need of work before I can go into maintenance mode.

Today, I will begin – first with dishes, then tidying, then sweeping and for my finale, I will do laundry. Taadaa! I will be the magic cleaning fairy sprinkiling orderdust everywhere.

So, I’ve figured out the problem here – I have no desire to be responsible for such menial tasks. I just want it magically done. Sadly, I don’t appear to live in a world of magic.

This week, I am not even close (although I don’t smell). But next week might be sparkling.

The first step that is. I feel like perhaps I rock. Yaaaaaaaaaa.

That’s my new plan. But I can’t start with her first goal until I wash the dishes because I have no clean dishes/cutlery/pots to cook or eat with and I don’t want to clean the sink twice. But after that I will follow (I hope!?).
