It was the 3rd time I’ve seen them and the best show yet. They played a ton of old stuff!!! Roberts voice hasn’t missed a step!

Twice so far.
Again later this summer!

Ru ~ breathe deeper life has me in stitches
Oh that was fantastic! Gorgeous show – great sound, lights, music, everything. They did 4 encores, and fit in songs from every album, from the old favorites to the new one coming out. Well worth the wait. We even splurged on a shirt. And being 20 years later, it was a bit of a relief not spending 3 hours on my hair & makeup this time.

Pandora Vox is planning my amazing life
Robert Smith has such incredible stamina. I went to see him last year in Sydney -about three or four hours long and three encores! He is both amazing & amazingly beautiful.

It’s back on! We kept our tickets from last year’s cancelled show and have babysitting arranged already. We’re both really, really looking forward to this.

The Cure cancels North American tour
Last Updated: Saturday, August 25, 2007 | 2:30 PM ETCBC Arts
The legendary British Goth band The Cure has cancelled its fall North American tour, which was to have included Montreal and Toronto.
“The schedule as it stands only gives us a couple of weeks to finish our new double album before we hit the road again, and we know this just isn’t enough time to complete the project to our total satisfaction,” said an announcement posted Friday on the band’s website.
The band – led by the pale and wild-haired Robert Smith – says it will make up the concert dates in April and May of 2008.
Meanwhile, band members plan to “remodel/rework the live show for North America, change things around, incorporate new songs,” the website statement says.
Fans can get refunds at points of purchase, according to the statement. The tour was slated to begin Sept. 16 in Tampa, Fla., and included performances at Montreal’s Bell Centre on Sept. 26 and at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sept. 27.
The band asked fans to be patient and offered “genuine apologies to anyone who is upset by this announcement – please be encouraged by our promise: The Spring 2008 Cure shows will be even better than the Fall 2007 ones would have been!!!”
(I’m taking this off my list until 2008)

I ended up missing ‘A Forest’ as i had to leave to catch the last bus, if i’d missed that i would’ve been stuck so had to go. =( i was thoroughly impressed with the 33 songs i did get to see though (33 is my favourite number so i took this as a good sign =) )
I was surprised that they played so many of their earlier songs, but i was really pleased they did, especially ‘Jumping Someone Elses Train’. The video they had set up for that song was fantastic =) the view you got was as though you were on the train and it was really sped up.
I loved hearing Fire In Cairo too, =)and seeing everyone dancing and singing along. =)
The lighting was truly amazing, i don’t think i’ll see another concert that will beat the Cure in lighting. =)
Our seats weren’t too far away, we could see well but would’ve liked a screen showing what was happening on stage.
Overall, it was truly amazing and it was great being there with friends =)it was nice just being there and seeing such an amazing band in person.
LunacyBleeding is a busy bee
Seeing The Cure live has changed my life in ways that I have not yet fully realised. I’m still processing it & seeing the gig was such a heart wrenching, exhausting, wonderful experience.
