How to own all 9 seasons of the X-files by whirlybird

How I did it: You can buy them at Best Buy, Fred Meyer, whatever. Make sure to buy the entire seasons, not the special movie collections. The entire seasons allow you to see every episode of the show in sequence rather than just the smaller collections that deal with one particular element and do not follow the show's chronological order. 

Lessons & tips: While it is a good idea to buy the smaller collections that contain only episodes dealing with a particular part of the series, the X-Files is best experienced as a whole. 

Resources: There are tons of online guides to the show, or analyses of the relationships and plot elements that can help make some sense out of the more convoluted episodes.

    I do feel a little guilty about such a purchase, but it is done! I picked up the last 5 seasons I didn’t have. In preparation, I’ve picked up watching season 4 where I left off. I stopped watching because every season ends in a cliff hanger, and I didn’t want to end the season before I could watch the next season opener.
    This really is high quality TV! I am actually looking forward to re-watching the last 2 seasons, which I think are underrated…
    Next goal: WATCH all 9 seasons of X-files!

    Not quite, but something. 22 months ago

    I don’t own any of the DVDs yet, but I just found out our local library has all 9 seasons. I just checked out season one and have until next Friday to finish watching it. I plan on going through the whole series that way (hey, that’s free!)at least for now. I saw all of the episodes when they were on TV, this will be good to catch up on them again.

    What needs to happen 2 years ago

    I already own the first 4 seasons, and they were expensive. The first 2 I bought used, but still were more money than I wanted to part with.
    Now, they have re-packaged the seasons and made them cheeper! It is time to get the last 5 seasons! Maybe I’ll get a used copy of the movie on DVD too (I have that on video).

    I haven’t missed an episode and here in my country is presenting 8th season. I am a real fan of the X Files and especially Gillian Anderson’s fan. And I despertly need all seasons
