I went in for my hearing aid fitting on Thursday. First thing I had to do was choose the color of my BTE (behind the ear) units (I chose the silver) and then the nurse had to program each unit based on my specific hearing levels.
Now I’m to wear them for a couple hours each night at home to acclimate myself to having them in and hearing all the new sounds, before venturing out into the big loud world.
First thing I’ve acquired is an understanding of why living near an airport AND a train station might not be the most desirable thing in the world of real estate. Good thing I can turn the units off!
