StuartieGJust entered the Loch Ness Marathon!
The last three marathons have been run with older friends and also my brother and sister in their first ever marathon at the weekend. I’ve really enjoyed doing these but feel the time has come for me to step up the pace!
I ran a 1:37 half marathon three years ago, today I am slightly less fit and carrying slightly more weight but still ran a 10k in 45 minutes a fortnight ago (very hard going tho!)
So I know I’m capable of running faster over shorter distances, the challenge is stepping that up to Marathon distance!
When I key my recent 10k time in an online run calculator it says I should be capable of running a 3:27!!! Although I would say I am definitely stronger at shorter distances than longer ones. Link for pace calculator below…
