Tink will be returning in baby steps.
...but I did have my first weekly weigh-in since joining SP yesterday, and was pleased to note that I’m already down 5 pounds.
There’s often a bigger loss during the first week than in later weeks, so I’m not expecting to continue at that rate: I know that a pound or 2 per week is the healthiest way.
Still, I’m pleased to see that I’m heading in the right direction.

More than one person here on 43T had spoken highly of the site, and I’d been intending to check it out. Some comment/conversation late last week finally motivated me to register.
Over the weekend, I read the e-mails that the site sent me based on information I’d provided when I signed up.
It took me until Tuesday to find time to figure out the Nutrition Tracker, but I’ve now recorded Monday and Tuesday’s food intake. I’m hugely impressed with how easy it is to use and the useful information it provides.
I’d had a positive experience using the Weight Watchers Online tracking system two summers ago, shedding 15 pounds or so over a 3-month period without feeling deprived in any way, so I know this is a helpful approach for me.
In fact, I saw virtually instant results. Having tracked breakfast and lunch yesterday, I then checked the nutrition information for the dinner I’d originally envisioned, and discovered that it would have raised my calorie/fat intake far too high for the day. So I made different choices that were just as satisfying, and managed to stay within my daily goal ranges on all counts.
I’m adopting this goal because I want to make a habit of logging in at least daily and tracking what I consume.

I switched over to sparkpeople. I like the functionality of having everything in one place better than going to multiple sites.

this one will be hard. mostly because I know right off the bat I’ll be eating out at least once this weekend, if not twice and it’s always harder to log the food into fitday if you haven’t made it and know exactly what’s in it.
