spend more time by a campfire.

just spent another week in another field – the Levellers’ begun Beautiful Days down in Devon.

Working for Magical Youth, a kids field creator, I had a wonderful week at the backcamp fire. Making new friends and finding new family. And ruminating on all things philosophical with William :0)

Well, I’ve just got back from Glastonbury Festival 08, and while for many it is all about headline music acts, for me it’s circus, green ethics and campfires. spent time around ours with friends, the sacred stone space fire, and at the Chai Chapel listening to skilled djembe drummers, dancing my spirit into the small hours.

at certain times of the year, we are at campfires every night. friends chat, songs are sung. friendships are welded together with the heat that scorches our faces. i sit under a woolen handmade cloak, while the woodsmoke perminates all our clothes.

The pork roast was awesome after about 4 hours slow roasted.

We don’t have much woods around here even though it use to be a wood.

a long winter without them but really this is an easy goal for a buckskinner like me.
