i underestimated how cold this would be, but its totally worth it. i’m a guy, so this isn’t exactly a huge leap – but its still something to shave all your hair off completely.
its a strange sensation having a razor run across your scalp (you can literally hear the hair being sheared off). i switched to an electric razor after this, and it really cuts down on the time to shave your entire head.

it feels so good! Bought some clippers this time, so maybe I’ll be able to keep this up…. I feel so free, and feel more ready to let go of past problems when I do this, that’s the intention I bring to it.
I got a perm and it was too tight so my daughter offered to cut it for me. She has never had lessons. When she was done, my sister came over to visit. I hadn’t seen her in awhile and the first thing she asked me was, am I doing chemo. She thought I had cancer and lost all my hair. She gave me the money for a haircut, which I went out and got right away, and my hair was as short as it can get without shaving it. To top it all off, I had to start a new job. I knew I would look ridiculous, and I didn’t know what kind of impression I was going to make. I had a few guesses, none of them good. I was scared to death but I went in. It was a bit of a freeing experience. It forced me to walk around not caring what anybody thought of me. Sometimes when I have to go do something scary, I think of that day and how I felt and it makes it easier.
i’ve always fantasised about getting my head shaved, just walk into a barbershop and have it al shaved off.
i would love it…it must be such a great feeling…
a cheer fot everyone who is going to do this or has done this already

I use to change something on my style when I’m feeling depressed. It seldom works…
I was bored, found myself in the shower with a razor (the less questions asked the better) .... I think I look like Bruce Willis, but not sure BW has people pointing at his head and laughing.
Hi there,
My head did the full monty just this past Sunday, 1 July 2007, for an event called Hair for Hope which was organised by the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) in Singapore.
The idea is simple – I pledge my head to be shaved while friends and family pledge online donations to CCF.
Children’s Cancer Foundation is really doing very good work.
Here are some thank you messages to CCF (and to you who have been so generous) from the kids:

To date, the online donation pledges which started in mid-May 2007 have surpassed $154,000 in total.
For those of you who are still keen to donate , there is still time as online donations can be made till the end of August 2007 (click ‘Online Pledge’ at www.ccf.org.sg/hfh and select ‘J’ for Joanne Chang).
Overall, it’s been a really worthwhile experience as the kids are superheroes in my eyes and I am blessed to do my bit to help.
I love how breezy it is upstairs. Also, I’m saving moolah on shampoo and haircuts!
Peace, love, harmony…
Joanne :-)
