learn about the moon

I live by the Moon’s guidance wisdom. Lady luna has enriched my life in every way!

I checked out some books from the library today (and paid a fine…oops). We’ll see how much I can learn about the moon from them.

I used to work in a nursing home that was a mix of psychiatric, geriatric and rehab patients. There were some eerie patterns you would begin to notice after being there for awhile…one that is morbid but real is that people would die in three’s. It was the weirdest thing. If one person died, we knew that 2 more would in the next week. And it almost always happened that way, usually one being someone that was a total shock.

The point of this entry isn’t to be weird and morbid, but to point out that another thing that many people do notice is that weird things happen during a full moon. In the nursing home it was common to have people bouncing off the walls…sometimes literally…during a full moon. Not to be stereotypical, but I really noticed a change in the schizophrenic patients. There is a theory that I haven’t done much research into, that the tides and magnetism plays a part in the weirdness of the world during a full moon. If this is true, I wonder if schizophrenic people are just more sensitive to the change?

Anyway, the moon probably doesn’t explain why today, Monday of course, I had the worst phone calls in the world. For those of you who don’t know, I currently work in a customer service position that will soon be changing. The moon isn’t full today, but it seemed like it was.
