Flazzle wishes there was something higher than 10 on the morale-o-meter! :)
I’d love to combine my last goal (drive across the USA) with this one. I love exploring and think my home country is a great place to start.
How I did it: I've gone to Las Vegas, Utah and New Mexico by myself. I booked the trips using online travel sites (different trips at different times). Try to be safe, esp in cities...get a cab if you think the roads are shady at night, etc. Talk to people! In places like Utah, you can usually find families or other singles to hike with in Nat'l parks, etc. Just relax, and enjoy the time to yourself. I first traveled alone 3 years after I was divorced … Read how I did it…

CurlyBird is trying to keep busy...
and then an opportunity presented itself: a yoga retreat in Tulum, Mexico. Perfect for me-time, reflective time. I leave in 5 days!!!
It wouldn’t be huge, but I have always dreamed of going somewhere beachy, getting a great room, and just…aaaahhh, taking a wonderful vacation…no one else around but a few other tourists, no worries, no reservations, no boundaries…just…vacate.
does not have to be a very big fancy vacation but even a simple few days one to seattle. somewhere close but not too far away. that would be very nice. =)
I love the idea of going away somewhere, just me and a world of possibilities, with no one else to accommodate. Maybe someday!

Not really a vacation, but I took a day trip to Mystic Seaport last week. It was so nice to go alone…I was able to spend an inordinate amount of time in the art exhibits and not worry about boring someone else. :) I was completely blown away by their beautiful collection and figureheads and ship carvings.
It was a really great treat for myself to make the trip and I’m excited to plan more like it in the future.
I went to Cancun on my own and few mini-roadies here in Colorado. You will LOVE traveling on your own…
You learn so much about yourself it is hard to explain. Breaking out of one’s comfort zone is so important!
Raven I've got to get away
I’ve done this – I would still prefer to go with someone special – but I don’t think that is going to happen and I am NOT going to sit around waiting. There are just too many places to go, people to meet, things to do to wait
