Make up for lost time... 2 months ago

I have to lose weight. There are no if’s, ands or buts!!! I am only 24! No offense to anyone out there but I don’t want to be 400 pounds by the time I am 40! I am currently at about 250-265. I have cut back on my food intake and working out when I feel I can. I just need some kind of motivation! I don’t want to go through what are supposed to be the best years of my life and not be happy. Just 5 years ago I was a healthy 160 and a size 10. I know I can do this! I just have to stay with it this time. I want to be able to ride my bike for more than an hour without feeling like every bone in my body is going to break!...sorry I am rambling…The pi is about 8 months old…it’s the best full length on also I have lost about 25 pounds since..

I have lost 35 pounds so far this year and I’m on track to hit this goal before the end of the year. No magic bullets….. just tracking all of my food and working out consistently. Haven’t progressed as well as I would like in that I haven’t yet decided on what diet to do. I have cut out fizzy drinks and pastries. I tend not over-indulge in these anyway (well, I must confess to a slight weakness for savoury pastries) but it’s definitely a step in the right direction towards healthy eating. I am also upping my vegetable comsumption.
The other thing I’ve started to do is eat breakfast. So far it’s only a yoghurt, but at least it’s a start.
I can now fasten my belt 2 notches further in, so my method is having some effect. :-)

Ooops! I AM still saying this in 2009! (see entry dated 27.6.07) Still at least my blood pressure is the best it has ever been according to the doctor (as of 30.1.09).

My intention is to just bite the bullet and go on a strict diet. I am going to start on 21.2.09 (which, coincidentally, is the birthday of my beloved) as it is the day after my classes finish, so I am able to be more strict with myself as I will not be pandering to the vaguaries of my work.

Here goes (wish me luck)!

p.s. Will need to update this regularly to keep myself in check ;-)

New Food 10 months ago

In an effort to find more new foods that keep my attention and are healthier choices I bought millet for a millet porridge. It was so filling that I don’t think I will eat until tomorrow. The recommended recipe on the bag was a terrible flop and nearly impossible, so I tried my own and later found my experimentation led to the same procedure as the recipes from the internet. I will definitely save this for the weekends when I am binging just to feel good.

I don’t think my lost 5 pounds in 3 days, but my wacky scale still has me 6 pounds heavier that my usual weight. It is disappointing to think I have gained so much weight when I really hoped to lose. I guess I need to stop hoping and start doing!

i am 314 pounds and i am 21 years old. if you can imagine, i want to lose weight. my best friend is getting married and im a bridesmaid. im freaking out because i want to lose 100 pounds by her wedding (10/09/10) that gives me a little more than a year. right now i am soooo lonely because of my weight. i want to be able to share the love with someone special but i casnt because everyone judges by looks so i need help DESPERATELY! I’ve dieted for 4 years….i cant seem to do it. and i am sooooooo scared. i ordered a size 18 dress for her wedding and already bought it. so if i dont lose the weight … im not in the wedding. PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE. thank you Rita

I GAINED WEIGHT 10 months ago

HOW THE H-E-double hockey sticks did I do that. I felt so good that I weighed myself again, dagnabit. Then in one day I have gained like 1.2 pounds. I just want to curse. It must be the added sugar off the diet coke. I can’t even kid myself that I’ve gained that in muscle tone. Shoot. I think I will need to lay off the juice and the dairy. Just when I thought I had something good going!
