Philadelphia Museum of Art sounds fun!
Jess is trying to destress and believe
I went to this really fun science museum. No, It’s not an art museum, but it was still incredibly neat! And it did have art in it…Not the Van Gough type art, but still, fun art that I enjoy. So, I am going to consider this one complete for now. But one day, I definitely must visit an art museum, because I would be so amazed by everything!
Philadelphia has my heart. So much art, so little time. Go to Philadelphia Museum of Art.. and walk down the block to the Rodin Museum! ah! The entire city is fullll of art.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to an art museum, but I have been to a fair number of them during my life. If I had to choose a favorite it would probably be the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. A close second would go to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
I really want to get to the Louvre someday and would also like to go to the Getty museum in Los Angeles.
I tend to prefer modern art to the older works, but I do like something from almost every period. Some of my favorite works are the landscapes that show every day life and what places looked like before there were concrete roads, cars, etc… Another favorite is still life paintings of flowers and/or fruit. I love it when the artist captures the translucence of flower petals or the suculent moisture of cut fruit.
It has been too long since my last visit to an art museum. Almost two years, if I remeber correctly.
I love art and I’m planning to go to an art museum this month! And after that I hope I’ll keep visiting museums more often.
Jessica is on the mend
The last one I went to was the Dayton Art Museum, to see their exhibit about Egypt.
