build a horse stables on my family farm

looked at a 8 stall stables and house on 60 acres yesterday. I could buy more adjacent land to make this goal a reality. But I would be set back a cool mil. I’ll have to check my bank account but I think doing it on my parents farm might be a little more cost effective.

I took the morning to look at some stables in the area. I saw some really nice places with great layouts. I also found out about old barns for sale. So I could build with recycled materials and it would have historical feel. Much better than the tin pole sheds put up today. One small step in the direction of making this dream a reality. next step is to draw some layouts. Anyone have a horse? What do you like about your horse stables? What would you improve?

My parents farm that is now a seed corn company and beef cattle operation is great but I see a bright future working with horses. opening up the land to trails and praire grasses. a place where horse run free, and people can share in the sun, and the kids can ride for fun. and we all live, happily on and on.
