I commuted today and was tempted to use the cell when stuck in traffic and stayed away from it. Did backslide a bit when waiting for the third time at a crowded intersection and called hubby quickly to let him know i would be late and then ignored it the resst of the time. better chance tomorrow…

Adar is back.
It occurred to me that this one was, for me, a matter of making a decision. I don’t talk on the cell while driving any more. In fact, I’m just going to turn the little devil OFF when I’m driving and then turn it on and check messages when I get where I am going.
The thought of having an accident and hurting someone because I was distracted or slowed down even slightly is too horrible to contemplate. No conversation is worth that.
I am on the right track, I pulled over into a parking lot and returned the call right away instead of answering ot while driving. Baby steps!
I was rather obsessive about carrying it all the time for the last couple of years while my parents were sick. Since they both passed away, I have tried leaving it at home more and find it makes it alot easier to avoid talking on the little monster.
