I’m really quite crafty! It started with knitting, then crocheting. Now I’m teaching myself to sew. I do know how to embroider a bit, so I’m well on my way to becoming quite the fiber artiste.

This year my daughter and I shared Godmas once again with one another, making each and every one of our gifts for each other without any bought from the store.
We continue to discover and refine our talents as the years progress, enjoy our creativity and thrive in sharing joys where giving with love really matters most. :)

1. I have a way with words. I’ve been told I’m a good communicator. I’ve always been intrigued by languages and books.
2. I’m a really good cook.
3. I learn quickly. This is convenient when there’s a lot you still don’t know.

Many of my talents I’m already aware of, and I need to refine. But what if I have something I haven’t yet discovered? At my age can I still find something amazing within myself? I was a precocious child; the downside is that as you get older, it takes more and more to be amazing, and you start to feel like a failure, in my experience. I have been told that I expect too much of myself while underestimating myself at the same time. It’s a brutal cycle, and has caused me a good bit of pain. When I’m dissapointed in myself (frequently), I tend to shut down and fall into a dark hole of lethargy and depression. I need to get away from this, but I don’t know how.
