I’m going to learn one new thing about blender every day. Hopefully within a year I’ll be able to make a short film for a movie festival.

Well, I have blender, and I started on a tutorial that I found somewhere online (I don’t remember where). After 3 or 4 chapters, I still wasn’t really sucked in. I’m giving up on this goal to pursue my other goals that I’ll have more fun with. I didn’t really need 3D modeling skills for anything, but I thought I would give it a try and see what happened. I got bored with it pretty quickly. Oh well, the software was free and the tutorial was free, so I had nothing to lose by trying.
I’m going to keep this on my someday/maybe list. I would really like to play around with 3d modeling and raytracing., but I’ve got some things to do that are more important in my 5-year plan. I’m going to look at this again if I accomplish some of my other goals (as a reward) or when my children are older.
Think about the possibilities…
I also will know how to model, and I can make something interactive with it…
Think about the possibilities!

I hadn’t played with Blender in a while. I just upgraded my memory to 1.2 gigs and suddenly everything flies. I hadn’t even loaded Blender onto the new desktop, because it seemed pointless. Now, armed with more RAM and alot more knowlege of vector graphics-after a class in interactive media-it was a much less daunting experience than the last time.
