"FANTASTIC! I went ice skating at age 30 for the first time on 1-23-09"

How I did it: I went with a group of my girlfriends.  I'd never been ice skating before but I've always wanted to try.  I didn't pratice or anything before hand, I believe I did it on pure adreniline

Lessons & tips: Just do it, don't be afraid, its not as hard as it looks

Resources: Campus Martius Park, Detroit MI $7 admission, $3 skate rental

How I did it: i googled ice rinks because Las Vegas has it shortage of ice and all found a place set aside the whole $9 it took and went for it there were classes given but only for kids ages 4-6 so i went on the ice without any formal training Read how I did it…

    HELL YES!!!

    I have the roller blades down pat, I do it everyday 4 a couple of hours, it would be made of nothing but awesome if I can skate on ice!!!!

    YAAAYY!!!!

    I TOTALLY wanna do all the tricks and everything, too, or is that called figure skating?

    Either way as you can see by the pic, if you commit to and do it a whole lot, it sure can’t hurt shaping your body into something nice…

    My younger cousin used to be on an ice skating team, and whenever I visited her I got to go ice skating too! I was never as good as her obviously, but I did it enough to where I was pretty comfortable on the ice.

    When I was in high school, there was also an ice skating rink in one of the local malls, and my friends and I went on occasion. It was fun to go! One day I hope I can go ice skating somewhere with my husband too since I think it would be a sweet thing to do together :D

    I went and ice skated yesterday, after not going for over a year. It’s like riding a bike, and I am still decent. I can hockey-stop, but am pretty weak skating backwards.

    If you’ve never ice skated before, it’s pretty similar to snow skiing – the skill translates well. I never could roller blade, but ice skating is nothing like roller blading.

    Also, I never ice skated until I was in my twenties, so it’s not like you have to start real young to pick it up.

    Ice skating is soo beautiful! I love to watch it in the Olympics! I want to learn it…I’ve tried, but can’t get away from the wall! So I want to take lessons! Eventually, I will have enough money to pay for them!
