I’ve been toying with the idea of moving out of the United States for several years now. I’ve done a bit of research on several other countries and have decided this is an option in my life. I have no ties here. Just my dog. And if we jump through the hoops she can come with me most places I’ve looked in to.
Why do I want to leave? I think mostly for adventure. Explore the world. I don’t do well stationary. I like to keep moving. There’s so much to see, why stay on the same continent my whole life? Yes, there are many other reasons too. I don’t care about the American Dream. I don’t have the urges to have a wife, 2 kids, and a modest house with a white picket fence. I don’t care about owning a nice house, driving expensive cars, or eating fast food. I don’t need it. I don’t want it. Politics are very frustrating for me. Now this deal with Obama and socialized medicine is just pushing me over edge. Without getting into it, let’s just say I don’t agree with it and don’t like the direction this country’s political interests are headed. Too much government is not a good thing. Especially when you add in human greed.
So, I’ve got my reasons. I’m just waiting for one the last straw to break the camel’s back before I sell everything I own and bail.
Does anybody out there like where they live? I’ve moved about 17 times in my life. I’m 25 now. I’ve never liked any of those cities. Just waiting to find paradise, wherever that may be.

I lived in Europe for a few years in my 20’s. Now I’m over 40 and feel it’s time to go for good. South America is my target, on the ocean. How is the question. I’m saving money and I need to rack my brain. Help

After extensive searching I have concluded that while the United States may not be perfect, it is better than all alternatives. We are still the freest nation on Earth. That statement can be hard to believe sometimes with what you hear in the news, but it’s true.
The U.K. is a monarchy based surveillance run peasant nation. Canada and Australia pay homage to the U.K. Everywhere else is run via absolute corruption.
The corrupt in America still fear justice. Elsewhere they have nothing to fear, they are the ones that dole out “justice.”
Other nations have “hate speech” laws (Europe), internet filters (Australia), massive surveillance (U.K.), inability to own guns or in some cases knives? (U.K.), and absolutely NO freedom guaranteed by a set of RIGHTS like the Bill of Rights. Other nations have, at best, a set of privileges that can be revoked by the government at any time for any reason. That isn’t how I want to live.
America is the freest nation on Earth and I will try to help keep it that way.

I lived in Spain for a semester. I want to experience more cultures and different things. There’s nothing to it but to do it. My visa is still good. I want to quit being chicken and travel all over the world. It seemed like spending time in Spain was the right thing to do, but it was strange at the same time.

If Australia doesn’t appeal to me after visiting it I may stay in the U.S. Perhaps Canada?
I find it difficult to believe that the U.S. is the best humanity has been able to produce. Actually, that’s impossible to believe.
In terms of life style and human happiness the U.S. is hardly conducive to individual and family well being.

Family of four, including one skilled linguist and teacher wish to find lodgings in Wales, Cornwall, or West Ireland. We are interested in finding an environment where the children can learn Irish Gaelic, Welsh, or at least Liverpudlian or Mancusian dialects of English. We tolerate other ethnic, religious, and national groups well. We have good credit, clean history, and a reputation for being good neighbours.
I can teach Spanish and French. My resume’ is posted here:
