Even though I woke up sick today (what a way to start the new year, huh?) I took my girls to the zoo. We only stayed for about an hour & a half then had to run home for lunch, but it was alot of fun. We could only see the indoor exhibits, because of it being cold, but The Henry Doorly Zoo has great indoor exhibits. We had a good day!
I got a membership to the zoo, which I live just two minutes away from, so that’s good. I’ll be sure to make going there at least once a week a priority. I also located the hours the art museum is open free to the public, so I’ll be taking the family there once a month. Also, the church I want to start going to regularly has Sunday School for the kids, book clubs for adults and alot of other things I’d like my family to get involved in. I hope this next year is full of new, exciting experiences :)
I want to start doing things with my kids every day. I’m planning to get passes to the zoo and the children’s museum, and take them out of the city on the weekends.
I need to get out and explore, have fun and just enjoy life. I’m tired of sitting around the house…. not doing anything. I am fighting a depression now, so it’s a difficult getting psyched up to go out of the house.
