How I did it: I grew up in an area where driving was not only unnecessary, it was considered a pain and a waste of money. So I didn't need to learn to drive till I moved to where I currently live. My boyfriend made me learn to drive cause he was tired of being my chauffeur. I took lessons for 2 years until they would not teach me anymore and made me take my drivers test. Just took some lessons. I dont currently have a car of my own. But I can drive somebody else’s car and thatll be fine for now. Just getting expierence to never crash on my own haha.

I’m freaking 22 years old for God’s sake and I’m still unable to drive a car. I’m tired of people driving me around, on top of all this I’m studying to become a Mechanical Engineer. I have to do this and its going to start from tomorrow.

I cant believe I am 20 years old now and I cant drive a car yet. This goal has been here for 2 years or more (though I didnt even use this site all that time) and I havent accomplished it. I have to do it soon. Maybe today is a good day to begin.

i am now taking my lessons every Friday.
i drove on the highway for the 1st time in my life this week
and i also parallel parked like a pro:)

Money and stability has been an issue mostly for me.
Also i live in a fairly metro-bound and metropolis area of Massachusetts. Somehow always been surrounded by close-by trains to hop on; but it would be cool to get out of town every so often to NYC or other nearby cities on the weekends or so.
Also being an artists and an adventurer in spirit, i would love to pretty much get out there and discover new things, people, landscapes, etc. Learning to drive finally in my late 20’s along with getting a diploma, and all along with getting a car would definitely help me get around more and somewhat get more out of life…
