buy a boat

so the big question I’ve been trying to answer is this, what Kind of boat should I buy? Sail? Fishing? Kayak? Canoe? Motor?

after long deliberation it’s been narrowed down to either a kayak or a canoe. why you ask? well they’re the two most affordable, and i’m not exactly loaded. I’m working on it…. but in the mean time I’ll probably go with the canoe because then I can share it with my friends as well (and they can help me paddle it ;)

but anyways I’ve been shopping around and it seems one of the local outfitters is selling off their rentals on september the 12th so I had better start saving!

I was able to find it used for a good price, can’t wait to take it out this year.

Can’t wait to buy a fast boat. Their is nothing like skidding across the open water going 110 mph.

For me it would be a little sail boat. Perhaps next summer. In the UK it is mostly too cold and dark for dinghy sailing in the winter!

Boating = FUN.

The other evening on the way home from a weekend away, my wife tells me that she wants me to have a boat. I think I am going to shoot for accomplishing this goal by next summer.

I put this on my list last year, and haven’t checked it in a while. Well, I bought a boat last September, and it’s the MOST FANTASTIC purchase I ever made. I love our boat! We go out to islands and sand bars. Regular beaches are pretty dumb to us now! It’s so fun and tubing is great too.

It’s not really that expensive. Promotes self sufficiency – you’d better learn to operate it correctly, where to go, and how to fix it or you’re better off buying a ticket for a boat trip. Anybody who can afford a new car can get their old car fixed and buy a modest boat. Even a canoe is somehow very comforting and calming to me – it doesn’t have to be big or fast. Check Craigslist for bargains. Find a friend who’s willing to help you with it if you’re new to it.

I would like to have a Yamaha Jet boat!
