so it has been a crazy battle with first of all staying in shape and maintaining it that way! i have been dealing with this issue for way to long and i am ready to REALLY get something accomplished…and this time the right way! i am so motivated and prepared to take on this new adventure…lol so cheesy! I just cant wait the weather is on my side all i have to do is get up and perform! tommorow i start school again…so bring lots of water and of course run run run! i want my sexy legs back lol :)...

i will stay updated on improvements and accomplishments on a day to day basis

I’m trying at this one I’ve got the weight loss thing going on but i’m finding it hard to tone up and get myself motivated for the gym I never used to need do but now I really need help any advice !!



Healthy again... 2 years ago

My clothes no longer fit me. They hang loose on my body and I can’t believe how strong I feel again. There are muscles that ache-I’m thinking of incorporating yoga into my habit. I’ve been pushing myself with running altenating between high speed in a 15 minute run and endurance running for 30 minutes. hopefully I can continue the progress. My knees are not in pain so I think the glucosamine chondroitin is helping my ligaments. I’m now meeting with my personal trainer for the remainder of our sessions at once a week after a long hiatus. I might reduce it to once every other week or every two months because I’ve been surprised at my discipline in heading for the gym myself. I just need her to switch up my exercise regimen once in awhile-but I like her plan in “ripping” my body…to get cut..hmmm the words sound so awful…but you get the point that she wants to help me get more definition.

Ok I experienced a setback. I’m now getting exercise-induced headaches. I stopped working out for a week. Hopefully, I’ll be back on track next week.

I think I need to eat better and breathe well when lifting heavier weights.

I fit better into my clothes. I even dropped a size!!!!!!

One bad thing: I need to overhaul my wardrobe. Maybe in another week because I don’t think I’m done with toning up my abs.

I don’t know if it’s the endorphins but I have been INCREDIBLY happy lately!



Seeing definition! 2 years ago

I’m seeing some definition and I’m definitely getting encouraged. I’ve been sick so it’s great to do something for my health. I’ve been pushing myself and I’m thinking of scaling back my remaining personal training sessions to once a month. I’m also eating better and watching the calories I take in. I think after a month, I will see more changes. I think my next goal after this is to learn how to cook my own meals. I’ve been relying on the microwave too much lately for well-portioned meals: Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine. I need to lose more fat so I’m working on endurance for running and in the elliptical machine.



On my own... 2 years ago

So my personal trainer was overbooked this week. The irony of the PERSONAL trainer. So came home and ate then 2 hours late instead of sitting through Casino Royale, I paused it and got dressed to go to the gym. I pushed myself on the arctrainer (think multiple squats) and I felt my legs burning. I did 2 sets of 15 situps on the machine (although next time I’ll go for 3 sets). Then I did another ab exercise plus the hip abductor and inductor machine. Then I went home and felt great with all the sweat! I really do feel a difference and see the difference…almost like each of the muscle I formed is a little piece of my self-confidence and dignity reformed.



Personal Training 2 years ago

So I finally had to accept that I DO work out but I was coasting. I don’t push myself so that new muscles develop. (I swear it’s like I am putting together a metaphor for my life.) I decided to hire a personal trainer for 10 sessions and she has taught me a couple of moves and it has been very rewarding. I LOVE seeing and feeling new muscles form in my body. My middle is still definitely soft so I know I need to burn fat but even there I see the definition. I also need to burn more fat in my arms and my inner thighs…but can I just say how solid the muscles feel in these areas?! I LOVE IT! 6 more sessions to go. In the meantime, I’m pushing myself to hit the gym in the mornings for a run…I need to eventually use there muscles to be more active. I’m thinking that the swimming classes and boxing classes I’m looking into for September is a good start. EJ Vincent also mentioned rock climbing and that is definitely something I am interested in doing!

I’ve started going to body pump classes at my gym and there so much fun,you can use the weight you feel happy with coz not everyone wants massive muscles lol.
But this is such a fun way to tone up it uses muscles that I didn’t even know I had and I started to see a diffrence in about a month its not a quick fix but the results are well worth it.
