finish my animation

One day I hope to finish the 30 second 3D animation I started 3 years ago. I have done all the background models and titles for it but scrapped my initial character design and haven’t had the inspiration or motivation to come up with a new one.

Each January, I attend the PSTOIC Christmas dinner at the Rembrant Hotel in London. Each year they expect some progress on the animation so I it’s always good motivation to complete some work. I’ve had some good feedback on my draft intro so it should be good.

I’m doing an animation subject at uni… it’s so frustrating!
I have CS3 trail version of flash, while the uni computers have flash basic 8 and so my lecturer doesn’t know how to use CS3 properly. My problem is the action script – you enter the action script differently for buttons on CS3 and I can’t figure it out and neither can my lecturer. SO if there’s any one out there that knows how to put action script on to buttons in CS3 it would be much appreciated.

My current animation project is my most ambitious so far and also the longest running. It’s been going a few years now and I recorded most of the audio last year and took the year before worked on the script and basic models and set design.

It would be great to finish this film this year, it should be possible if I get on with it.

and its a three minute short that is taking three years
to complete. Can’t believe it!

I originally shot the film under the camera using the animation
technique called paint on glass. But my production values were
so bad that I have to redo the light and dark values in photoshop before anything adding sound. Which means redoing one at a time
like 1500 frames.

Eeek, good thing is that I am like three quarters done.
